Before this project, most of this information was unknown to us. Like most teenagers we look forward not into the past. What's the use of learning a history whose lessons have gone unheeded and its mistakes repeated.

Before now the name Adolf Hitler or the mention of the Nazis, even without complete knowledge of the details of their atrocities have always set a dark feeling at their mention,

we learned how decisions made for peace were clouded by  layers and layers greed

that fueled an already waging war and cost the lives of millions.

most importantly, through this project we learned not only about the monsters but also the people who chose not to be. Neither monsters nor heroes, simply human,

allowing conscience to take form and colour. People like, oskar schindler, itzhak stern, names worth remembering for how their existence contributed to the survival of over a thousand lives.

These are the parts of war history that truly matter, as we have learned that all the knowledge about past wars and the faces behind them does not prevent another war from starting, but these people serve as a reminder, that just as war parades in the open in hundreds, the power of one can tear it down from within, and if someone has done it in the past, then it can be done again.
